Dr. Asher Pakier, Phd. Director

Dr. Pakier wants his patients to be at peace with themselves. He does this by teaching mindfulness techniques, and through standard talk therapy – an approach that has proven to be effective in supporting mental health, and general well-being.

He received his undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University, and his Ph.D. from the Ferkauf School of Professional Psychology, Yeshiva University in 1989. He was licensed as a New York State Psychologist in 1991. Dr. Pakier also has a certificate in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the New York Center for Psychoanalytic Training.

He is experienced in individual, group, and couples therapy, with extensive experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, grief issues, marital issues, and sexual dysfunction. 


Edward f. FieramoscA, LCSW, MS, LCPC

Mr. Fieramosca is a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed clinical pastoral counselor. He utilizes a congnitive behavorial and psychodynamic approach to address changes in thinking, behaviors, and internal conflicts.

 

ANTHONY GEORGES, LCSW

Mr. Georges joined Pakier Psychological in 2016. He graduated from Adelphi University School of Social Work, and has been a licensed clinical social worker since 2000. He is fluent in French and Creole.

 

vivian Mancino, ph.d.

Dr. Mancino is a licensed psychologist who joined the practice in 2013. She has a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Columbia University, and completed an internship in clinical psychology at The New York Harbor Healthcare System.

 

Robert Schaer, LCSW

Mr. Schaer is a clinical social worker, and has been with the practice since 2011. His MSW is from NYU School of Social Work, and he received post-graduate training at the Washington Square Institute for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
